We Need Your Support!

We Are Just Getting Started

The Blue Mountain Players have been performing live amateur theater in West Point since 1995. We are now embarking on a new and exciting project. The theater is partnering with the community to create a welcoming West Point Town Park square in the heart of our tiny Sierra Nevada foothill village. Currently a vacant lot, we envision creating a space to play, picnic and perform. The town square will be developed in phases.

Congratulations to us! We received the following letter from the Calavaras Community Foundation recently.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Calaveras Community Foundation, I’m pleased to inform you that your request for grant funding through the 2025 Calaveras Community Foundation Grants Program has been approved.

We are awarding your organization $5,000 in grant funding. In addition, we are reserving an additional $5,000 in matching funds, which will be held for up to one year. To access these matching funds, you must raise an equivalent amount from other sources.

Once you have successfully raised the matching $5,000, please notify the Calaveras Community Foundation office in writing or via email. Upon confirmation, we will issue a second grant agreement. You will then have one year from the date of that agreement to expend the matching grant funds.

We commend your efforts and look forward to seeing the positive impact of your work in our community.

Phase 4

Installation of landscaping to enhance the beauty of downtown West Point and the attractiveness and usefulness of the park.  Plantings are to include mainly native flora with hardiness in mind and the goal toward being at least partially self sustaining.
